Heart Led is rooted in a Health At Every Size (HAES)-aligned approach, recognizing that health and well-being are not determined by body size or appearance.
Rather than centering movement around weight loss or changing how a body looks, Heart Led approaches movement as an opportunity to build strength, mobility, confidence, connection, and overall well-being.
The focus is on supporting your relationship with movement and helping you find practices that feel sustainable and meaningful for your body.
-
Heart Led takes a trauma-informed approach using trauma-informed language that prioritizes choice, autonomy, consent, and respect for each person's experience. Participants are encouraged to listen to their bodies, choose what feels supportive, take breaks, intensify, modify, or opt out of movements when needed. The goal is to create an environment where people feel supported rather than pressured to perform.

No. Heart Led experiences are designed to meet people where they are. All levels are welcome. Movement can be adapted based on experience, comfort, ability, and what feels supportive for each person's body. There is no expectation to already be strong, flexible, experienced, or "good at" yoga or fitness before getting started. There are always offerings to modify or intensify the movements.

Flow + Sip is a signature Heart Led experience that brings mindful movement and community together at local Portland-area venues and partners. We value collaboration and supporting local small businesses!
Participants gather for Heart Led’s signature Strength and Flow yoga class followed by time to connect, socialize, and enjoy the setting with a beverage. It is designed to bring more time and space for community connection.

Heart Led retreats are intimate wellness experiences centered on movement, rest, nourishment, nature, and meaningful connection. Retreats may include yoga and mindful movement, shared home cooked fresh meals, time outdoors, restorative experiences (like soundbowls), community, and plenty of space to slow down. Each retreat is intentionally designed to help participants step away from the pace of everyday life and reconnect with themselves and others.
The retreat days will offer light structure while prioritizing flexibility, allowing you to meet each day where you are.
Heart Led retreats have a special add on experience. Some examples are acupuncture, custom candle making, and a “Blissed Out” restorative yoga experience. All of these offerings are in collaboration with other small businesses.
